How to Prepare Powdered Formula Safely

1️⃣ Boil Water: Bring water to a boil, then let it cool to 120°F (50°C) before mixing.
2️⃣ Pour & Measure: Pour 2/3 of the total required water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
3️⃣ Add Formula Powder: Using the provided scoop (as scoop sizes vary by brand), add the correct number of leveled scoops (1 scoop per 1 oz / 30ml of water).
4️⃣ Shake Well: Secure the bottle with the nipple and cap, then shake vigorously to ensure even mixing.
5️⃣ Add Remaining Water: Pour in the remaining 1/3 of the water and shake again for consistency.
6️⃣ Cool to Safe Drinking Temperature: Let the formula cool to 98°F (~37°C) and ALWAYS test the temperature before feeding to prevent burns.

🚨 IMPORTANT:

• While some parents use distilled water without boiling, we do not recommend this as per US FDA guidelines.
• Always use fresh, properly boiled water to prepare your baby's formula.

Storage & Safety Guidelines

✅ Use Opened Formula Within 2-3 Weeks: Once the inner foil bag is opened, consume within 2-3 weeks and store in a cool, dry place away from humidity and heat.
✅ Feed Within 1 Hour: Prepared formula should be consumed within one hour. Any unused formula should be discarded after 1 hour.
🚫 Do Not Microwave Bottles or Formula: Microwaving can cause uneven heating, leading to hot spots that may burn your baby. Always warm bottles using a bottle warmer or a warm water bath.
